Gal 5:1 says It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Paul also declares these words in 2 Cor 3:17 where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Jesus did not come to this earth to impose a new set of rules, rather he came to set people free from religious performance.

For those who place their trust in Him we step into the wonderful freedom the New Covenant offers. In fact Jesus promised the same in John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. Below is a list of some of the things Jesus set us fee from and into from Kaye’s preach recently:

We are free FROM:
• alienation and hopelessness – Eph. 2:13 & 19; Rom. 8:15-17; Jer.29:11
• the power, control and torment of sin and of sin-consciousness. – Rom.6:14, 1 John 1:9
• the curse of the Law – Gal. 3:13
• condemnation & the devil’s lies – God declares us justified. – Rom. 8:1-4

We are free TO:
• hear God’s voice and enjoy relationship with the Godhead. Isa. 30:21, John 10:3-5
• enjoy God’s love, grace, peace, favour & help – Isa. 30:18; Heb. 4:16; 2 Peter 1:2
• to claim all His promises as His covenant children – 2 Cor. 1:20
• to enjoy every spiritual blessing – Eph. 1:3; 1 Cor. 1:5 &7
• to voluntarily serve Him and His people – 2 Cor. 3:6; Eph. 2:10
• to become fully who He made us to be – 2 Cor. 3:18
• to do exploits for our God & spread the knowledge of Him throughout the earth – Dan. 11:32; 2 Cor. 2:14 Matt.28;18-20& Eph. 2:10
• to be a blessed and to be a blessing to others – Gen. 12:2-3 & Gal. 3:14
• to enjoy our inheritance as children of God – Psa. 2:8; Psa. 111:2-6; Eph. 3:6
• to become invincible! – Jer. 29:11 & Rom. 8:28
• to hope and have confidence because our hope and confidence are in Christ’s finished work, not in ourselves. – Heb. 6:13-20
• to overcome and reign in life. – 2 Cor. 2:14 & Rom. 5:17
• to enjoy eternal life, starting now! – John 3:36; Rom. 6:23 & 1 John 5:11
• to give because we have received – Matt.10:8 & Eph. 1:6
• to worship Him in spirit and in truth – Psa. 95:6-7 & John 4:2; Rom.12:1
